Ariane Hafizi
Natalia Ariane Hafizi-Marianovich was a Uruguayan-American painter born in Boulder, Colorado. Her life and artistic journey were defined by a profound cross-cultural experience. Raised within a family dynamic spanning Uruguay and Europe, she was immersed in diverse artistic traditions and perspectives from an early age, forming a unique and pluralistic worldview that would later define her practice. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Parsons School of Design in New York City in 2004, where she lived until 2012, dedicating herself to painting, graphic design, and the exploration of holistic disciplines. For Ariane, music and dance were not merely interests but vital components of her creative process, from which her consistently avant-garde aesthetic emerged. Ariane's paintings are not only visually arresting in their harmony and beauty -they also pulse with energy, spiritual resonance, and emotional truth. Each painting is the result of an inner search, a spiritual and emotional exploration. Her work often featured a harmonious interplay between abstract forms and figurative elements. The figures that appeared in her paintings were not merely aesthetic choices but represented her personal universe and her deep interests in spirituality, magic, archetypes, the female form and its sexuality. Following her untimely passing at the age of 33, her legacy was documented in the monograph "Ariane," narrated by Professor José Ignacio Abeijón Giráldez. Her work has been celebrated in solo exhibitions and art fairs in Madrid, Washington D.C., Virginia, New York, and Florida.
